US$10,000 international scholarship available at the QS World Grad School Tour

QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the organizers of the QS World Grad School Tour, has an exclusive US$10,000 international scholarship to award a deserving postgraduate candidate.

The QS Scholarship for Education Achievement will be awarded to a candidate who shows a unique combination of excelling academically and reaching their potential through postgraduate study, while demonstrating social responsibility.

QS acknowledges the decision to apply for a postgraduate degree entails serious consideration of many different factors, however the ability to finance this study is a universal challenge.

Peter MacDonald, director of the QS World Grad School Tour says, “with different programs charging varying levels of tuition fees and the program costs differing from country to country and subject to subject, it is a real challenge to compare the value of such programs. Graduate school candidates need to weigh up the best possible mix of funding support, whether it be personal savings, loans, or support from family, friends and/or employers.”

To provide the best possible support and advice for graduate school candidates, the QS Scholarship for Educational Achievement worth US$10,000, will be awarded to a candidate who meets the above criteria and demonstrates a clear vision of how their postgraduate education and dedication to social responsibility will achieve their future

To qualify for this scholarship, candidates will need to pre-register for the QS World Grad School Tour, which visits 43 cities in 31 countries during Fall 2008. Candidates will then be notified of the scholarship application process in December 2008.

Candidates interested in graduate study should also be aware that there is in excess of US$1.9 million worth of graduate scholarships available from schools participating in the QS World Grad School Tour.
