The world’s top management programs join global education tour
7 August 2008
London, 07 August 2008: 13 of the world’s top 20 management programs will be travelling with the QS World Grad School Tour this Fall, organisers announced today. The Tour, organised by London-based company QS, is the world’s largest series of international graduate school education fairs.
The programs, all appear in the Top 20 in the Masters in Management category of the latest Financial Times Business School Rankings, and are aimed at students intending to develop their specialized business knowledge in support of a wide range of careers. Universities and business schools attending the events include HEC Paris, LSE, ESCP-EAP, EM Lyon, Audencia, RSM Erasmus, ESADE, EDHEC, Aston Business School, Vlerick Leuven Gent, City University and Lancaster University Management School.
Peter MacDonald, Director of the QS World Grad School Tour, believes the synergy between the QS global education events and the leading management programs is compelling for prospective students: “Our events attract some of the most talented and focused international students in 29 countries, many of whom will match the profile required for admission to any of these management programs. We provide an unrivalled platform for universities and business schools to meet their new class face-to-face.”
Recent statistics from the QS World Grad School Tour show that in both 2006 and 2007, interest in masters and PhD programs in business and management has dominated attendance at the graduate education events, with 17% of all candidates (7,794 of 44,642) in 2007 indicating this was their preferred academic study area. A further 8% (3,478) of those attending the QS World Grad School Tour specified an interest in finance and accounting graduate programs. “Interest in business, management and related areas continues to grow,” MacDonald says. “Students are attracted by the career opportunities a masters qualification from one of the top universities provides them with.”
Prospective management students will have the opportunity to attend one of the QS World Grad School Tour events when they visit Latin America (September 1 – 15), North America (September 18 - 24), Europe (October 7 – November 1), Asia Pacific (November 3 – 30) and India (November 30 – December 11) later this year. The Tour will showcase leading management programs from Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the USA in addition to more than 100 other international universities and colleges from more than 25 countries.
