Shanghai and Beijing host QS World MBA Tour, world’s best business school fair

10 November 2008

The QS World MBA Tour, with hundreds of influential business schools such as Wharton, INSEAD, CEIBS and Manchester Business School, visits Shanghai on Thursday 13 November and Beijing on Saturday 15 November 2008.

Now in its 15th year, the tour visits 35 countries annually with over 360 of the world's international top business schools. The two fairs are China’s biggest events, with over 80 MBA programs present at each one, including a majority of the highest-ranked American, Canadian and European schools.

The fair provides Chinese MBA candidates the chance to meet face-to-face with the admissions officers and alumni of these prestigious business schools as they shortlist the right school for their MBA studies. It also offers an abundance of information on full-time, part-time and Executive MBA programs, fees, admissions, scholarships, financial aid, the GMAT test and graduate MBA career opportunities.

In addition, the QS World MBA Tour offers US$1.2 million worth of exclusive scholarships during the Fall 2008 season. The scholarships, for top business schools including Wharton, Chicago and Cass, are available only to attendees of the fair.

Both fairs provide unique, free expert seminars. In Shanghai, these include:

  • 5pm: Panel discussion with admissions officers from INSEAD, Hult, Cass, Henley and NUS on the subject of ‘Choosing Between Full-Time and Executive MBA Programs’
  • 6.30pm: Seminar with New Oriental on how to get successful admissions for international business schools
  • 7.45pm: MBA Masterclass with EMLYON

For more experienced candidates visiting the Shanghai fair, the QS World Executive MBA Fair, which runs concurrently with the MBA Fair, allows candidates interested in modular learning to meet some of the world’s leading EMBA programs in a relaxed environment.

In Beijing, the offerings on the day include:

  • 2pm: Panel discussion with admissions officers from Hult, Vlerick, Skolkovo and ESADE  on the subject of ‘Getting into Business School’
  • 3.30pm: Seminar with New Oriental on how to get successful admissions for international business schools

The first 100 candidates through the door will receive a complimentary copy of the QS TopMBA Career Guide, a 350-page publication that includes expert editorial on the MBA industry and a comprehensive directory of the world’s top business schools.
