KEY BUSINESS ACQUISITION CREATES MARKET LEADING SOFTWARE COMPANY
Two of the leading providers of software systems to universities and business schools have joined forces to create QS unisolution, offering extensive student recruitment and international exchange solutions to higher education institutions worldwide.
QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the global career and education network based in London, has acquired German company, unisolution, the supplier of software and services concerned with the internationalisation of higher education.
With 20 dedicated staff, QS unisolution will focus on international exchange and student recruitment technology and services for the higher education market, bringing together unisolution’s range of products and QS TopApply, the online application management & CRM system.
Ian Lynes, Business Director of QS unisolution Limited, says the announcement of the new venture will provide the higher education sector with solutions that offer new levels of efficiency in handling international student exchange and recruitment.

QS unisolution’s client base already includes more than 1,500 users from over 300 institutions across 13 European countries. It also houses a directory of more than 4,500 higher education institutions worldwide.
Launched in 2006, QS TopApply, is an online application management & CRM system that helps universities and business schools around the world to convert prospects into students. It enables candidates to submit and monitor their application as it is processed and allows institutions to build relationships with prospective students and manage their applications through a powerful back-office system.
Unisolution has established a range of software and internet portals for the higher education sector. Their flagship product, moveon, initially developed at the Technical University Darmstadt in 2001, has grown to become the market-leading platform used by international offices of universities to manage the data and processes required to support global mobility of staff and students.
