International Graduate Fairs Announce European Tour
London, September 2007
European graduate applicants will have the opportunity to meet some of the world’s best graduate schools this October, a London-based education company announced today. QS, the team behind www.topgraduate.com and the QS World Grad School Tour, the world’s largest series of international graduate school education fairs, will visit 12 European cities in nine countries this autumn.
Peter MacDonald, Director of the QS World Grad School Tour explains the background to the European events: “We have seen an increase in the level of interest in study abroad from European graduate students. Our websites and other services are used by students all over Europe and the interest that we see in students wishing to locate the best advice possible on their Masters and PhD degrees is overwhelming.”
The QS World Grad School Tour offers prospective international graduate students the opportunity to meet graduate schools and top universities from more than 20 countries, face-to-face. Admissions panels provide additional expert advice on issues such as applications, program choice and the QS-THES World University Rankings. International universities and graduate schools attending the QS World Grad School Tour this year will offer $1.9 million in scholarships to prospective graduate students.
This year’s QS World Grad School Tour in Europe will feature new education fairs in Moscow and dedicated areas for prospective applicants to US and other graduate law schools. MacDonald continues: “A number of top international law schools are making dedicated use of the QS World Grad School Tour law villages in London, Milan, Frankfurt and Cologne to recruit for their forthcoming classes.”
The QS World Grad School Tour will visit Moscow (October 9), Kiev (October 11), London (October 13), Milan (October 15), Madrid (October 18), Frankfurt (October 20), Cologne (October 23), Munich (October 25), Paris (October 27), Thessaloniki (October 30), Athens (October 31) and Istanbul (November 3) and bring with it more than 40 US and international graduate schools, including Columbia, University of California San Diego, Carnegie Mellon University, University College London, Kings College London, the University of Melbourne, Queensland University of Technology and Bocconi University and others from Spain, Italy and The Netherlands.
